Creating additional revenue via EKM Event Space & EKM Events
The Challenge
At EKM a large auditorium was built that we used for internal events, it was decided this space was to be rented out, but there was no advertising material, landing page or collateral to sell it. I was tasked with the challenge of providing the event coordinator material that would allow her to push bookings of the auditorium and board room hire at EKM HQ.
The Solution
To keep the Space separate from the EKM brand I decided to brand it up as it’s own separate entity following a similar style to EKM but having its own identity – Space@EKM.
I crafted a brand, landing page and lots of offline collateral to push the venue hire. View landing page
Brochure for sales team & office visitors
I produced a brochure to coincide with the landing page (and point people to it), that would be used as a sales medium for the event coordinator to hand out and send out via post to potential companies that would utilise the space.
Vinyl banner for outside office
EKM’s office was positioned in a high business area and across from an Asda superstore, the footfall that drove past the office daily was in the thousands so I suggested we put a banner up to advertise the space, old school marketing but it got the EKM brand and the Space out to the public.
Beating Eventbrites commision via EKM Events
We held our own events at Space@EKM and hosted other companies events, we sold the event tickets via Eventbrite but they took a hefty commision – so I utilised EKM’s very own ecommerce functionality to create an online shop. Visit EKM Events
Focus on mobile experience
With a lot of the advertising for EKM Events being via Facebook it was important the mobile experience was near perfect so great attention was paid to the mobile and tablet experience.
Marketing the events
The events needed marketing and we did so via emailing the EKM customer base, Facebook advertisements – above is a shot of one of the email campaigns sent out to EKM customers.
